Volunteering Made Easy

Our Mission

Greater Lewisville Cares (GLC), a nonprofit organization, engages volunteers to strengthen our community by providing diverse service opportunities within Denton County.

Greater Lewisville Cares (GLC) strives to make it easy for residents of all ages living in Denton County, Texas and surrounding areas to volunteer in their community. By working in partnership with local community service agencies, city governments, and other nonprofits, GLC engages people in active service to their community:

  • by offering flexibility
  • by providing a variety of projects so volunteers can find those of interest to them whether that be working with children, the elderly, the environment, disabled, at-risk youth, etc., and
  • by educating the volunteer, group or family as to the impact of their service…what the benefits are to the agency, to the client, to their neighbors.

In addition, GLC is proud to provide free wheelchair ramps to Denton County residents in need through Project Wheelchair Ramp. This is a collaborative effort between GLC, the City of Lewisville, Trinity Presbyterian Church of Flower Mound, CoServ Charitable Foundation, and local area service agencies.
