Flexible Volunteering
Flexible Volunteer Program
This is Greater Lewisville Cares’ signature program.
GLC works with a variety of community service agencies to find out their volunteer needs and wants.
Working together to develop a project, GLC then publishes this volunteer opportunity in the monthly calendar that is sent to all GLC members.
Members can then pick and choose what projects fit their schedule and areas of interest. These projects do not involve long time commitments
on the volunteer‘s or agency’s part and are ideal for busy working individuals, families, or others who need greater flexibility in their service
activities.
Other Volunteer Opportunities
In each newsletter, GLC lists other volunteer needs in the community. Some require long-term commitments and training such as mentoring
and advocacy programs. This is the area GLC announces agency fundraisers, walks, etc., that may also need volunteer assistance. Contact
information is given to directly work with the agency in need.
